Effective Deployment of Passive Sonar Simulator

When a submarine dives into an ocean, it’s one of the support system to navigate and communicate is sound. For that, they use Sonar (Sound Navigation and Ranging) [1]. Here, submariners face difficulties in deciding which locations to deploy and unaware of the threats present in surrounding areas, it is difficult to tell whether these locations are safe or not [2]. Also, to train new people about the same, simulating a realistic environment is not feasible in all circumstances. Out of the Sonar types, passive Sonar is most reliable especially in stealth mode. In Anti-Submarine Warfare, people have focused on strategic solutions and now it’s time to focus on improving technology to deal with acoustics. Hence, there is an urgent need to improve the deployment and its effectiveness, in terms of technological aspects.
